The Delivery Log chronicles the purchase, preparation, and delivery of our Selene 53 Ocean Trawler Prime Time from the Atlantic Yacht Basin in Great Bridge, VA to the Waterford Harbor Yacht Club Marina in Kemah, TX. This delivery cruise occurred in September 2005...a DYNAMIC time for weather all along the East and Gulf Coasts. Team Prime Time had three MAJOR hurricanes to manage. Hurricane Katrina (the sixth most severe Atlantic hurricane EVER recorded) had already come ashore and devastated the Gulf Coast on August 29, 2005. Hurricane Ophelia was a lingering storm that challenged the Prime Time all the way from Virginia to Florida. And finally...Prime Time chased Hurricane Rita (the fourth most severe Atlantic hurricane EVER recorded) as she made landfall on September 24, 2005 on the Texas/Louisiana border.
